The Demographic Convergence Thesis
Check out this video of James Perkins, a fund manager for Thrasher Funds, who breaks down how hiphop's heyday as a fashion trend is over and how urban kids have moved on and are embracing skate.

The demographic convergence part comes in when Perkins talks about how brands like LVMH are embraced both by its traditional older, wealthy customer base as well as rap artists. Not news for anyone who reads this blog, but it's fun to see a young brother--wearing a hot pink tie no less--talk about the phenomenom using Wall Street speak.
