I Need a Deadline

Looking at the blog this morning and I couldn't believe it's been a week since I've posted here. I swear, once a swarm of deadlines have passed, I become completely worthless and can't seem to get a thing done. This past week was the one when I was gonna get caught up on everything, and damn, here I sit, more behind than ever. Part of it (warning: excuse making imminent!) is that shit has blown up with my son and where he's playing baseball this spring. I'm having mixed feeling going into details just cuz part of the reason that this drama has descended upon us is cuz his coach uncovered his plans to abandon his team's ship this summer by snooping around other teams' rosters on the Internet. And having already been ambushed ONCE by his coach with his blockbuster find, I'm not in the mood to be sneak-attacked a second time. Suffice to say, demands to make a choice are being made, which, in all fairness, doesn't surprise me. Though whatever, you'd think a grown man would know better than to try and back a single mom into a corner. We as a group tend not to appreciate that as it presses all our baddest bitch buttons. 'Sides, god doesn't like it when you fuck with his solo mamis. It's a known fact that payback on any undue stress you bring them is double. So while you may at this point be wildly confused, I'm gonna just leave it at that cuz in case you haven't noticed, even though I have a blog and reveal more details than lots of folks out there (perhaps even you dear reader), the truth is, I'm viciously protective of my privacy--it's a Scorpio rising thing, you might not understand--and when it comes to my life, my life, my life, I'm a true Scrooge when it comes to parsing out juicy details. It makes for the perfect reporter personality, actually. I'm eminently interested in YOUR life and YOUR dirt, but let's just keep this conversation one-side,'kay? Cuz my story couldn't possibly be as interesting as YOURS.

What I don't understand is how the coach knew what your son had been looking at on the Internet?

If his coaching skills leave something to be desired, maybe he should become a P.I.?

I didn't want to be too specific, but now that we're in the comments section, the coach discovered though googling that my kid was on the roster of another team. We saw the coach today though and he was a LOT friendlier. Funny p.i. crack, btw, cuz he is in law enforcement and his job does sort of involve snooping!
