Normally I don't focus on performance trends, but once in a blue moon, they are noteworthy or part of an important event. For instance, the Boston Marathon. I think this image is just so gorgeous. (Many more images of all the top winners here.)



The top two racers were both Kenyans--Cheruiyot (left) won the race in a new course record of 2:07:14. Maiyo finished second in 2:08:21. And--feather in Nike's cap--both of 'em are wearing the Swoosh!

And for more performance news, here's an image of the new Under Armour cleat. I'm not a big cleat expert, but it looks better than I expected.
